Contract Analyst

 Contract Analyst

Position Summary:

  • Responsible for analyzing all customers contracts for financial liability (All rebates/fees etc.). 
  • Accountable for owning the contracts’ process and working proactively with Operations and Business Development in the development and execution of the contractual process from verbal win through to project close with a primary focus on Customer satisfaction with Nephron’s contracting process.  
  • Responsible to produce, analyze, and design complex data sets for strategic contracts and key business partners.  
  • Interacts with IT, Business Development, Customers and other departments to prepare and finalize project contracts and contract modifications/change orders in order to process data for Nephron and its partners to meet contract requirements and compliance.
  • Assists with additional work duties or responsibilities as evident or required. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned or apparent.


Primary Accountabilities:

  • Prepare contract modifications and change orders, including scope of work revisions and budget modifications.
  • Customize all documents to accurately reflect services to be provided, oversees finalization of documents and distributions to the customer and internal departments
  • Sets priorities and brings conflicting priorities to management for assistance in resolution
  • Contract and performance reporting for pharmaceutical partners, strategic contracting and internal issues as they arise.
  • Identify, develop and negotiate any work required or requested by the customer that is outside of the signed contract and help implement strategies for increasing efficiencies on assigned projects.
  • Follows all review processes so a quality product is delivered to both internal and external customers
  • Update and maintain contract databases and files
  • Supports departmental activities directed toward meeting planned and projected corporate goals including sales/revenue/customer satisfaction goals.
  • Works within the department's metrics/timelines for completion of documents
  • Create pharmaceutical manufacturer meeting preparation reports.
  • Create data PowerPoint slides for presentations as required.
  • Develop quarterly sales and market share reports as required by our Vendor partners.
  • Prepare ad hoc  reports, analyses and support data at request of management


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Bachelor degree in Business, Accounting, Mathematics or related field required.
  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience in pharmaceutical contract analysis and/or data analysis preferably in health care, pharmaceutical, pharmacy or bio-medical products industries
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel required.  Knowledge of Access and PowerPoint preferred.
  • Excellent communications, interpersonal, and technical skills  
  • Highly analytical with ability to identify contracting opportunity, address information needs, and monitor market and company performance.
  • Knowledge of data systems or relational databases
  • Ability to multi-task, excellent time management, and willingness to adjust priorities
  • Ability to interact effectively with all Nephron departments
  • The ability and willingness to change direction and focus to meet shifting organizational and business demands.
  • The ability to set clear targets and use performance measures to assess risk and opportunities in order to effectively manage the assets of the business.
  • The ability to create and contribute environment that values people, encourages trust, teamwork, and open communication, and provides participation, learning, feedback and recognition.

  • Salary range: Based on experience
